In April one of my business goals and dreams came to fruition: I opened a photography and doula studio in downtown La Grande. It was quite serendipitous how it happened! One day I decided, on whim, to share about my studio goals on Instagram. Quite soon after posting, a dear friend let me know that the office space next door to her office was available for rent. Ironically, I had seen the space right before the pandemic hit last year, and at the time we had joked about being “office neighbors”.
It turns out that if you put that kind of vibe into the universe, she listens.
The office space was still available, and after a short tour of the space I immediately rented it.. and here I am, with a beautiful space right smack dab in the heart of downtown, in a historical building with beautiful natural light and an elevator.
To celebrate this beautiful dream coming to life, I decided to christen the studio with a creative maternity session with a beautiful mama-to-be! After all, this space is dedicated to all things family, babies and birth - it’s where I will meet with my doula clients and photograph so many wonderful families/babies.
