I love when my clients want to do their newborn sessions at home.

Why?

Being at home with your newborn brings a level of intimacy and comfort that would be difficult to capture anywhere else! This is especially true for families with older kiddos involved in the session - they can eat snacks, show off their lightsaber skills, and run off to play when it’s time for the baby’s portraits. It also makes life easier for the parents, since being at home means not having to load up small children in the car and haul them to a studio or outdoor location. Bonus perk: sometimes it means I’m bringing you dinner too, if you are also a newly postpartum client!

This at-home session with the Barnes family on a chilly spring morning was just my cup of tea, and I loved documenting some of their fresh family of four moments with baby Frankie.
